We normally work in accordance with 2 main methodologies: more predictible projects, where we have a lot of experience and knowledge, normally go under standard waterfall, that is about clear plan on the start and tight control through the project flow. A typical waterfall project normally presumes the following main stages:
- preliminary analysis and planning
- detailed business analysis and gap listing
- implementation including software adaptation and process changes on the customer side
- professional testing and UAT
- final acceptance
- training and post-implementation guarantee support
Creative projects, containing some untested technologies or uncertain and changing functional requirements, go under SCRUM/Agile methodology, that is about continuous maintenance of the functionality backlog and relatively short sprints of production of the new version of the final product.
